Tell us a little about your journey in Animation
Growing up, I was obsessed with everything Disney. When I got my first computer, I was enamored by the Mickey & Friends print studio program and spent endless fun hours challenging myself to paint and redesign Mickey’s outfit fast enough to print it out before my ‘90s computer inevitably ran out of RAM and crashed.
I was 18 years old when a friend of a friend gave me a college brochure and I saw the phrase “computer animation,” and just like in Pixar’s “Soul,” I realized I had found the words for my spark. That spark brought me from Hong Kong to the USA and the Ringling College of Art and Design where I pursued my animation dreams with a degree in computer animation and thankfully, more RAM and fewer computer crashes.
So what exactly do you do at Twin Suns Corp?
I partner with Brandon to build and maintain a global animation team based on trust, professionalism, and kindness.
What gets you the most excited about Twin Suns Corp?
It’s a great opportunity to work and grow with an amazing team while making a game that I love to play.
If you could pick a superpower, what would it be?
It’d be fantastic to teleport anywhere I want anytime, mainly to have access to all the delicious food I can enjoy when time and location are not an issue.
Any advice to others looking to break into Animation and also traits you look for in an Animator?
Invest in yourself through education. Share your work and keep an open mind when receiving feedback. Learn from mistakes that you or others made. Never give up.
