Stealth mode you say...?

July 2025

As we hit four official years as a game studio, we wanted to give an update on our company, team, and internal project. What have we been up to and how things are going? What may the future hold? While we too have been impacted by the current industry challenges, we have managed to stay around and keep supporting our team and partners as best as we can while making great experiences. We have had to adapt, though, and while we focus on our people first, there have been ups and downs for sure. In fact, we have even had our own recent layoffs (again) and furloughs to try to survive as a company so we can bring our people back after finding our next partners. We keep coming back, though. A testament to our team and culture.
During our four years, we have done a variety of things, including kicking off our own projects and also working with partners on co-development to help keep as much of our team as sustainable as we can in these hard times. We have been very proud of all of that work and continue to pursue both our games as with co-development, but alas, none of that partner work can be talked about yet, if ever, which leaves us unable to share with our fellow developers and players.
In the interest of being as transparent with our community of players as we are with our internal and extended team and partners, we’d like to take the leap of soft announcing our own game and original IP franchise that we have been building out. We now live in a game industry where studios need to take control of their own destinies as much as they can and it is time for us to do the same. While we have been around for four years, only about 2.5 of those years have been focused on our own main game. The other roughly 1.5 years so far have been on helping other great teams realize their vision through co-development. But what about our game…?
With a veteran team (some up to three decades on franchises like Star Wars, Halo, Tomb Raider, Hitman, Horizon, Elder Scrolls and many more) we give you a “not a press release” press release and stealth announcement for our game!
Project Octavia, our internal game that we now want to share with you all debuted under its codename. But what is it?
Project Octavia is a new and unique multiplayer game set in an alt-history sci-fi Cold War world where players take on the roles of super-spies within an immersive Stealth Action sandbox franchise.
That’s right, we intentionally started with the hardest part—multiplayer. Stealth Action (we also call it Spy Action) meets multiplayer with a sandbox twist is not a combo you see very often! But we feel we have cracked the nut with some new ideas on how to solve some of the challenges this unique gameplay brings up. The game is already very fun and playable, very cool, very stylized and still very unique in the market. We will share more gameplay footage and visual style as well and aim to stream the game on Twitch in its current Pre-Alpha state in the coming weeks. We already playtest our game every single day (sometimes more!) and iterate every day during production and have always done it that way, so why not bring you along with us?!
While we started with multiplayer, we have great plans for experiences of all types as the franchise grows.
Expect regular content updates (links to follow below) as we slowly build our community of interested players. Here is a slice/tease from the first Pre-Alpha game screenshot that we will fully share next Tuesday.

While we as a team, along with everyone else, are not out of the woods by any means, we’d rather talk about the game, share content from the game, and maybe even show you the game instead of being too quiet about it all. It is time! Even in its Pre-Alpha form. We’d like to bring the community along with us on this journey, no matter how the game launches or who we partner with to get it there. We want to be open with you about our development and engage with you to build up a healthy community around it.
